City Hunter Ryo Saeba シティーハンター 冴羽 獠 [HOT TOYS]
Welcome to my review on the Ryo Saeba [冴羽 獠] figure from Hot Toys! This is a figure I've been waiting for. I preordered this figure in July of 2011 hoping to have it by the end of that year. Constant delays pushed the Hot Toys City Hunter figures to have an eventual May/June 2012 release date. It was worth the wait! Being a Hot Toys figure, it is loaded up with tons of features and accessories. Included are several hands, a "mokkori" [モッコリ] head, trenchcoat, sniper rifle [with removable clip and adjustable slide], bra, base, extra joints, and two Colt Python .357 Magnums. There is also loads of articulation points making almost any pose you can dream up possible. This is a wonderful figure for many reason. The biggest reason being that until this point, there really hasn't been any City Hunter merchandise let alone action figures. Over the years there have been a handful of garage kits floating around. There were even small statues included in the DVD boxset for the anime. THIS is the real deal, though. I couldn't have asked for a better name in toys to handle this franchise either. Hot Toys knocked this one out of the park, as usual. A couple of minor complaints. The hair for normal Ryo is a little too stylized. It's very nicely done, but they really should've tone down the spikiness. It also would've been nice if they included a normal right hand...and some fists. Then again...with the .357, why would he need them? This figure is a perfect storm of excellence. I ...
